A
Brief History
North Oxfordshire CAMRA have hosted our annual beer festival in
Banbury since 2000. Our first was held in the town hall and although
it was a small venue, it suited us at the time.
Our 2007 festival, at the TA Centre, attracted over 1,100 visitors
over the three days all eager to sample the 80 beers, 8 ciders and
2 perries that were on offer. It was also our first 'themed' festival
- celebrating the 300th anniversary of the Act of Union between
England and Scotland. The theme for our 2008 festival will be Beers
from the North West.
Beer of the Festival 2007 was Jaipur IPA brewed by Thornbridge
Hall in the Peak District.
